Navigable Canals...' hand-coloured outlines sectionalised, dissected into twenty and laid on linen, 1824, 770mm  x 635mm, marbled covers and card slip case, together with C. Smith (Publisher); 'Smith`s New Map of England and Wales', 1806, sectionalised and laid onto linen, 1165mm x 960mm, in original card slip case and another copy of Cary's 1806 map, as found and 'Cary's New Itinerary.....' eleventh edition, 1828, map present but poor condition (4)
Provenance; The Alan Winning Collection of Antiquarian Maps, Books and Atlases. Beginning in the 1970’s with an interest in the 19th Century development of the railway network and the County Maps of this period that charted it, Alan expanded his academic interest into good early printed maps, town plans, travel guides, books and atlases and has been adding to his collection over the past 50 years.
